Warm greetings and namaste from Kathmandu, Nepal!

The paddy fields are a lovely green around us, so are the surrounding 
hills, with  dark clouds looming above threatening to burst into a heavy 
downpour at any moment.

ICIMOD had a successful International Support Group Meeting in Lucerne 
Switzerland (see under news), and is now busy having a series of regional 
consultative meetings in our member countries  to firm up the programmes 
which will provide basis for the ICIMOD Strategic Plan 2008-2012.

Our new initiative, ICIMOD books-online at 
<http://www.books.icimod.org/>www.books.icimod.org  has received many 
encouraging responses from our readers across the globe and we are 
delighted by this indication of the continuing interest in and relevance of 
ICIMOD publications.  We expect to upload all the titles from our catalogue 
(more than 500) by the end of the year.

I am always very happy to receive your comments and feedback and feel 
greatly encouraged that you keep on reading and writing in to us.
